I Am Black, Beautiful and Great, But I Realize America Ain't

Sadly, I think racism is one of those things that will never end.

You can't tell someone how to think or how to treat someone, and sensitivity and true consideration for someone else is a skill that is disappearing slowly and slowly.

I choose to believe that the only hope is Jesus Christ.

Now, does that mean that I don't do anything  about the horrible things that happen on a daily basis?
Does that mean that I have no feelings when I hear of another case of inhuman race?

Well, it shouldn't! But let's be honest.

How many preachers spoke about white supremacy just a week ago?
How many statues were dedicated to injustice just a week ago?
How many protests occurred to demand equality for Blacks just a week ago?

I dare say that these things grow exponential after a terrible event...

Is it wrong? Absolutely not!
Should it stop? No, that's not what I'm saying.

My point is, we are going around in circles and that is exhausting. I feel pain every time I hear about or experience racism. Every time. It sickens me, and will continue to do so.

I love seeing people share their feelings. What bothers me is when you become solely a social media activist.

Your "status" calls out the idiots who gathered to show hate and be violent in particular locations. Bruh, none of them follow you! Perhaps you did it just to get attention from people who already agree with you, or to raise controversy with those who signify with the hatred and bigotry. Did your status change something?

Perhaps you just wanted to air out your anger. I absolutely get that. But should you do it by saying those of us who don't make a status about it every time are part of the problem, or call preachers who don't talk about it in a sermon on Sunday racist? What viable solution did you offer?

What purpose was it to call out religious leaders when you don't want them to lead you on other days. You don't go to their worship centers, you don't agree with their sermons...wait, if you do, then you know whether or not they lead that type of group that comes up with strategic plans to make change on a consistent basis. And if they don't, then why do they have to speak about it just today? Because something happened recently? If they talk about love and God (who is love) then they've done their job. A topic today on "white supremacy" when there are so many multicultural churches...just to satisfy YOU?

What really needs to happen to shift the actions of America?

A strategy, or a bunch of statues that you didn't see last week and probably won't see until the next time something happens.

Some know what needs to change. Other's refuse to see it. In the interim, I choose love

Maybe nothing will change until a world leader comes that will bring world peace, called the AntiChrist, so above all else, God I pray that those who don't know you will come into your saving Grace
Amen
