Identity

a mature person in Christ understands that their actions, beliefs, and decisions won't be understand by everyone. people WILL misjudge, misunderstand, and incorrectly analyze your character but a mature person in Christ is confident in who they are in Christ. Incorrect comments of who you are may trigger you (we are human, we feel) but it will not make you change your identity for the sake of pleasing people. when people misdiagnose who you are, your confidence helps you to hear what is said, and let it roll off. be genuine, be open, be willing to change what needs to be changed. but if you have a deeper understanding of things than others, you won't internalize every critique. if you have learned a lesson that contributes to your growth, remember that everyone did not get the insight you received. you don't have to apologize when your standards offend someone. if you are not received, shake the dust off and keep it moving. I'm not a people pleaser, I'm a God please...
